Step 1 - Landing Page - Components:

A “Landing Page” on your site is a page that describe a service that you offer to a particular travel audience. Landing Pages are great for SEO because they describe and show all the related content for that specific service.

The following graphic shows you a “Landing Page” components:

Related can take many forms (Products, Blogs, Testimonials, other Landing Pages) use the same tag.

Step 2 - Start creating a Landing Page

There are two ways to create a “Landing Page”.

Step 3 - Creating the Landing Page

Tip: Before you start creating Landing Pages  be sure you have at least a “Title” a “Description of content” and a nice “Image”.

First form, will ask you about a “Title” and what “Autoresponder” do you want to use. The Autoresponder is an automatic reply email the customer will receive after she/he sends you a request related to that topic. You can setup that later, by default the dropdown will show empty.

Create Form

Next step you will see the whole form with all editable fields: Title, Body Content, Teaser, Attachment (Primary image), Location, Adjust Permalink, Language, Publish Status, Tags, Form Type, Return URL, and autoresponder. Also, the same form will be used to edit after you save.

  1. The Landing Page “Title” is already there, you can change it or edit it at any time. Keep it short and sweet and engaging.

    Title Field

  2. Body Content: is more about a brief description for that specific service that you want to offer. You don’t need to go crazy writing an essay, just one paragraph, maximum two, most users don’t spend more than 8 seconds in a page. Writing a personal message is more effective.

  3. The Teaser is to summarize about your offer and will be used as a meta description of your “Landing Page”. By default, when the teaser is not there the system will automatically take part of the content as a meta description.

  4. Attachment (Primary Image): Use a nice picture for your “Landing Page”. Also, make sure your image have a good size too. A minimum of 800px x 600px 72dpi is ok.

The system allows you to add more than one photo, but only the last uploaded photo will show in the “Landing Page” as the primary image. You will  need to request a specific layout update if you want to show more than one image.

  5. Location: You can setup a specific location if your service or offer is located in only one place. Because many of the travel services have different locations the information not always show in the “Landing Page” layout. You need to request a specific update for the layout if you want to show the location.

  6. Adjust Permalink: After you add your “Landing Page” title the first time the system will automatically create a permalink but you always will be able to update. For example: Title: (Kosher Accommodations and Restaurants) Permalink (/kosher-accommodations-and-restaurants)

  7. Language: For now the system only accepts two languages “English” and “French”

  8. Publish Status: You can manage the publish status of your “Landing Page”. The default status is “draft” and will not be published until you change it to “Now” or “Later” with a specific date, or just make it Private and only you or login users can see it.

Also, you can setup an expiration date if your offer is only for a specific period of time.

  9. Tags: Are very important keywords that allow you to put the related content together. Usually, we suggest using one or two for “Landing Pages” because that makes them unique. Tags are a flexible way to organize your content, you can use your own tags, but don’t get crazy adding hundreds because you will end forgetting them.

Order is also important, the first and last tags are ones that define the related content:

    Tags

Sometimes we use a first tag to group same kind of “Landing Pages” for example for “Travel Styles” (Cruise Travel, Backpacking Travel, Romance Travel...) we use tag: “style”; for “Travel Events” (Travel Festivals, Music Events...) we can use the tag: “event”.

The second or “last tag” will be to define the specific topic. For example “Adventure Travel” tag: “adventure”. If the topic has more than one keyword we suggest to join them in only one word for example “Resorts and Vacations” tag: “resorts_vacations”. If you use tag: “resorts vacations” the system will read them as a separate words “resorts” and “vacations”.

  10. Form Type: It refers to a kind of lead form you want to use in your call to action. Depending on the website template the form is predefined but if you want to use a specific form with very specific fields you will need to request it. Return url: is the page the user will get redirected after fill out the lead form and send you the information. Depending on the website template its predefined inside the form (/thank-you) but if you want to use a specific url with a very specific message you will need to request it.

  11. Autoresponder: As we explained before is an automatic reply email the customer will receive after she/he send the request through the lead form. You can set it up later, by default the dropdown will show empty.
