Creating Autoresponders

By default, an autoresponder is sent through the Travel Agency Tribes system to notify customers that their contact request or lead has been received or to welcome them to the agency. You can personalize your own autoresponders to contain information you choose.

Once you're logged into the Admin Panel, select "Autoresponders" from the "Marketing" Menu.

To create a new Autoresponder, click the "New" button on the right side of the page.

Give it a title (1). Your customer will not see this title - it is only for your own reference.

Choose how you want the autoresponder to be triggered (2).

Click the "Create" button. This will return you to your list of autoresponders.

Your autoresponder isn't finished yet - you need to add content. Click on the title, then click on the "+New" button at the right side of the page.

Give your email a subject. This is what the customer will see when they receive your message.

Select the "Edit message" button.

Now add your content.

On the left side of the editor there is a list for variables (Customer, Agent, Agency, etc). By placing the variable (eg, {AGENCY_NAME}) into your message, it will allow the system to automatically insert variable content into the email.

For example, if a customer named "Joe" places a contact request and you have the {CUSTOMER_FIRST_NAME} variable in your greeting, he will receive an email that says "Hi Joe!"

Once you're done setting up your email, you can choose content from your site to be displayed in the message. The system automatically selects the most recent content.

After you click the "Save" button, you're done!
