Updating the banner photo or photos in home page is very easy, just need to follow the next steps:
Step 1 - Select the correct image
This is a prime image and can be a very valuable asset to your website if used correctly. Also, your banner image should feature a nice travel photo that is high resolution (72dpi) and catch the eye.
Keep in mind that sometimes you will have a headline, a subheadline and a call to action that needs to be visible. Avoid close-up images, try to use nice scene images.
Where to get images from? There are many online options to find images for your website banner or maybe you want to use your own travel photo ;) . Nowadays, you can take good resolution pictures with smartphones or you always can request for a banner photo too.
Step 2 - Use the correct image dimensions
Each design have different banner image size:
Note: There are three common file types that are used to post images in web (JPEG, GIF, and PNG) don't use .GIF for banner images
- Design-1: image size 1024px x 768px
- Design-2: image size 1200px x 583px
- Design-3: image size 1200px x 800px
Step 3 - Updating the banner photo or photos
After you have your image(s) ready you can start uploading the new banner image(s). For each design the information you need is different:
Design-1: You will need a banner photo, a title for (Headline), and a summary for (Sub-headline).
Design-2: You will need more than one photo for the slider banner.
Note: You will need to repeat the process of creating a photo for each slider.
Design-3: Just the banner photo.
